Conference themes and topics

The CoHeSION conference is aiming to highlight the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinarity of architecture, and to stimulate focused discussions concerning current trends and challenges in education in architecture faculties while also bringing forward the collaboration/cohesion between different professionals. More than this, starting from the lessons learned during the Covid-19 pandemic, which had an important role in redefining the teaching and learning experience in architecture faculties, the conference is also focusing on the struggles of educators in developing engaging and creative online and face-to-face learning experiences suitable for current students.

Conference topics

Considering the multidisciplinarity of architecture the conference will approach education in all its fields, from architecture history, design practice and theory, management of heritage structures and conservation strategies, urban planning and landscape design, interior design and other connected fields involved in architectural education.

Guidelines for authors

The articles will be published in the Journal of Architecture, Urbanism and Heritage, a peer-review academic journal that publishes original research papers and advances theory, research and practice in the fields of architecture, urban design and planning, interior design and preservation and heritage.
